Evel Knievel Museum
Hi, welcome to Gma’sPhoto! Do you know who Evel Knievel is? My grand girls had no idea. Back in the 70’s I was in grade/middle school. I remember him as the one who rode motorcycles and got hurt! The Evel Knievel Museum is currently located in Topeka, KS. That’s in my back yard so to speak. My daughter and her husband was headed to western KS for the weekend. I had the whole weekend with my girls! 🙂
Kevin and I were talking about the weekend and what we could do with the girls. This museum came up in our conversation. Evel Knievel Museum will be open in Topeka until November 2, 2024 and then will relocate to Las Vegas in 2025. This will be a good time to visit Evel Knievel while it is still local!
For the one who rode motorcycles and got hurt, see just how many times!
For who is Evel Knievel, here is a bit of info about him.
Evel Knievel was the first live person to be featured as a “Super Hero” action figure. Evel made more from his royalties than from his daredevil stunts.
This excursion was more fun than I thought it would be. The girls even had a fun time. To see all the pictures taken, click the red banner above.
Oh, the museum exited thru the Harley Davidson Dealership. I found my next ride. It would be a special order color, powder pink….
Take Care. Best wishes, Debra
.
I loved Evil Kenieval! Remember the doll that you ripped the cord out of him and he raced off (on his bike)?
I was amazed at all the memorabilia there was for Evel. In the gallery you can see some of the many!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Take care and best wishes.
Ahh! I know who Evel Knievel is! I think my girls do too as when they are doing something dangerous I will say to them do you think you’re Evel Knievel. lol
What an interesting day out.
I am not a fan of motor bikes but I could see myself on that Harley-Davidson, it looks so safe and comfy!
My grand girls did not know about Evel. They did have fun tho. And if anyone know asks if they know Evel, they can say, ‘Sure do’!
Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day.
Take care and best wishes.
What a wonderful trip down memory lane!
Evel Knievel was such a legend – I remember being on the edge of my seat watching his stunts on TV. It’s amazing to think he made more from his action figure royalties than from his actual daredevil stunts!
I mentioned that I just remembered him as the one who rode motorcycles and got hurt. The museum bright light to just how much of a legend he was.
Take care and best wishes.
Oh wow!
Must have been great visiting the museum!
Had followed all his stunts!
Yes, interesting. Lots of memorabilia to see and read. The gallery showcases just a few, and there are 168 images!
Take care and best wishes.
You should get that motorcycle!!
I remember Evel Knevel as a big hit in the day. Some of his stunts were outlandish and some were duds but he put himself out there.
When I worked I was in Topeka quite a bit wished I had known about the museum.
hahahah, I can not drive a manual vehicle!
The museum had lots of trivia, more than I imagined. Very interesting.
Welcome to Gma’sPhoto. Hope to ‘see’ you again.
Take care and best wishes.
I had no idea there was a museum of Evel stuff!

Hi, Suzanne. The museum was full of Evel things! hahahahah
Take care and best wishes.
He really was kind of a big deal back then wasn’t he. I remember when he jumped the Snake River in Idaho — we are both originally from the Washington/Idaho border on that River .
The picture of the skycycle Evel used to jump Snake River is in the gallery of images, did you see this? So many things did not go to plan and it was a miracle he even survived. Evel must be related to felines; he had a good 9 lives!
Take care and best wishes.
I watched every stunt he did. He was fearless. I would love to visit his museum.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
It was interesting for sure! I took lots of pictures. Did you take a look at the gallery of images?
Thanks for visiting.
Take care and best wishes.
