Pink is More than a Color

Pink is More than a Color.

Hi, pink is one of my favorite colors. I have favorite colors for different reasons. For example, when I play board games, I always pick the green pieces. Did you ever play the one called, ‘Sorry or Trouble‘? My kids always knew, green was mine! 🙂

Let me tell you how pink became one of my favorites. It actually snuck up on me. That’s right, snuck and not sneaked! It started with the tape dispenser. I bought a black dispenser. At our previous house my husband and I shared a desk and all was fine and dandy. Until we moved into our new to us home. We now have two desks, his & her’s. My husband has taken over this dispenser.

You might be thinking, no big deal. And you are probably right. Well, next I bought one of those bluetooth speakers that work with my phone. I use the speaker mainly in the summer while poolside or working in the yard. That speaker disappeared. Then resurfaced at one of our family gatherings, Kevin had latched onto it!

It took a bit of time, but I found a solution. The solution is the color pink! Pink was beginning to be a favorite for me when I was shopping for electronic organizers. I was pretty bored with just gray and black colors to choose from. Well, I found one in pink! So score for me! Well, when I replaced my speaker and tape dispenser, they made pink ones. So I replaced mine with pink ones. Kevin, I know will not latch onto pink. 🙂

Now, if I can just find a pink hammer, pink tape measure and a pink toolbox, I will be all set! 🙂

Pink is more than a color: It’s a statement!

What to Wear | February

What to Wear | February

What to Wear will feature different palettes providing ideas when you plan the wardrobe for individual pictures or your family images during the holiday gatherings.

What to Wear | January features ideas for all family members: mom; dad; big brother; big sister and little brother and little sister. Have fun preparing your stylish look for family pictures!

It is not necessary to purchase new clothing for better images. When planning the wardrobe, do wash and dry the clothing. Immediately after drying, hang the clothes on a hanger. Or iron, if you like. The main goal is wrinkle free clothing.

Shoes do not need to be new either. New shoe laces is an inexpensive purchase to spruce up the look. Polishing leather or washing canvas shoes is another solution to brighten their appearance.

Have the socks match either the pants or shoes. This is important for anyone who may be sitting or squatting in the group. Imagine if the pants are navy blue, shoes white and you see bright green socks. Very distracting. Your eyes will go straight to the green socks and not the person’s face! However, if the socks were either white (matching shoes) or navy blue (matching pants), your eyes will flow over the person and land on the face/eyes of the person in the picture.

Did I Hear Pancakes?

Pancakes sounded so good this morning.

I had a craving for pancakes. When Kevin took me to this restaurant, one of my local favorite, I was trying to decide on getting the one pancake, short stack (2) or the Kid’s menu pancake with slice of bacon. I had no idea the size of the pancakes the would be. So when the waitress came to take our order, I asked how big one pancake was. “Pretty big” was her answer. I chose the one pancake, $3.25- because I am trying to be a good Weight Watcher member! Water is what I ordered to drink. Note, I really wanted orange juice. After a few moments, our breakfast was delivered.

Oh, my- my pancake was huge. You can see in the image above the one pancake was the size of the plate. The image below will show just how thick it was!

I ate the whole thing!

Of all the places to eat, my favorites are the home town, small town local restaurants.
