My Sunday Snapshot #15

Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 15!

My Sunday Snapshot was taken during my ‘Happy Birthday Party to Me’ party. This year I turned 60 and celebrating 20 years cancer free (with God’s grace)! What I find amusing, this is not my first post about toilet paper. You can see the first post about TP here.

The image above was placed onto each table as the center piece. I have included the center piece in the image below.

Toilet Paper Cake!

The main table center piece was made with many rolls of toilet paper 🙂 My folks contributed the items added to this cake from their own medicine cabinet! Mom thought it was funny when I asked her to contribute to the cake decorations.

No gifts were requested. What I did request was a selfie with each of my guests. There were many, here are some of the guests I knew wouldn’t mind me sharing.

I am so grateful and blessed to celebrate my 60 years and that my folks are with me to do so. This was definitely a milestone I will cherish forever. My family and friends made me feel very special.

Thank you for joining in on my celebration!

Have a wonderful week.

Take Care. Best wishes, Debra

  1. Belated Birthday wishes! What a party, I love your decs and selfies, all so very important to you. I might steal some of your ideas for my 60th next year. I’ve not had cancer but I do have an incurable condition and selfies sound like a good idea. Now, I’ve just got to make it until then 🙂 sorry I’ve not been joining in. I’ve not taken many photos lately, but I need to start taking more.

    1. Welcome to Gma’sPhoto, Anne! Please do use some ideas for decor. That is what I did, searched Pinterest and tweeted the ideas I found. Did you happen to see where I shared the image of my thank you notes to each guest? I have gotten many compliments on them from my guests. Have a wonderful week.
      Take care and best wishes.

  2. Debra, Happy belated birthday!!! I love your t.p. birthday cake! Very cute!! I’m glad you were able to get together with friends and family to share in your special day. Happy to share your t.p. at this week’s Share Your Style #430 for you. 🙂

  3. Happy 60th, Debra! What a fun party and I absolutely love (and will remember) the toilet paper centerpieces! I’m approaching medicare when my next birthday rolls around next winter… I love the idea of taking selfies as your gift! What a treasure these memories will be! Congrats on 20 years cancer free, too! Another anniversary to be celebrated and grateful for!

    1. Thank you so much, Laura. I felt very special that day! For my thank you cards, I used my iPad and GoodNotes to make my letters. In the envelope I included a picture of the selfie. The responses have been good so far. In this image below, the left was the letter I wrote, printed on 8.5×11 paper. The right was printed as a 4×6 photo.

      thank you

Of course the image sent was the one of them with me. I did this for each guest.

I would be interested in knowing what you do for the medicare milestone celebration you will be planning 🙂
      Take care and best wishes.
