Hi, what a beautiful morning! I walked up to the barn where Kevin was hanging out. And on the walk, I looked over to the cows. They were all lined up. The sun was just a bit behind them to make their faces dark, but I still liked how they were in a line and looking at me. These cows were recently moved to our front pasture. This was done to ween the calves from their momma.
Pictures can produce so many different emotions and feelings. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! Share your fun and interesting image from the past week.
Hi, I’m excited to begin a new link party series! Today, I had a funny happen to me and wanted to share this with you. With today being Sunday, title of the new link party is, ‘My Sunday Snapshot’. Normally this party will start on Sunday 12:01 am and end Monday 11:59 pm, Central time. However, with this being the first party, this party will end on Friday at 11:59.
My funny began with eating breakfast out with Kevin. Once finished we made our way to Walmart. Our last stop was at the local farm store.
Our local farm store.
Before I get to the funny, a bit of a back story. Necessary because this is why the funny was funny to begin with. :). My daughter loves animals. Has ever since she was a kid. This child had rabbits, birds, hamster, dogs and others. Erika grew up, got married and moved to the city. Her love of animals did not end.
Erika now has 3 dogs, a cat, a gecko, fish and chickens. Yes, chickens in her back yard. Being in the city she can have hens, not roosters. Roosters crow and neighbors don’t like that! :). Now for the funny…..
Our farm store was selling mini pigs!Cut little piggy’s!
When I saw these little piggy’s, I immediately thought Erika needed to add to her home. So I text her!
Litter trained too!
Erika didn’t think she would be getting the mini pigs to add to her long list of pets. Shaune, her husband, was thankful!
What to Wear will feature different palettes providing ideas when you plan the wardrobe for individual pictures or your family images during the holiday gatherings.
What to Wear | January features ideas for all family members: mom; dad; big brother; big sister and little brother and little sister. Have fun preparing your stylish look for family pictures!
It is not necessary to purchase new clothing for better images. When planning the wardrobe, do wash and dry the clothing. Immediately after drying, hang the clothes on a hanger. Or iron, if you like. The main goal is wrinkle free clothing.
Shoes do not need to be new either. New shoe laces is an inexpensive purchase to spruce up the look. Polishing leather or washing canvas shoes is another solution to brighten their appearance.
Have the socks match either the pants or shoes. This is important for anyone who may be sitting or squatting in the group. Imagine if the pants are navy blue, shoes white and you see bright green socks. Very distracting. Your eyes will go straight to the green socks and not the person’s face! However, if the socks were either white (matching shoes) or navy blue (matching pants), your eyes will flow over the person and land on the face/eyes of the person in the picture.

Hi, have you ever looked through your feed on your camera or phone and thought, “why don’t my pictures look as good as I thought they would in my head?” or “how can I get my pictures to look better?” Don’t worry, we all do it.
Today I am going to give you a list of must have photo ideas to use on your next vacation, at your next family get-together, or special occasion to make your pictures fun, meaningful and more pleasing to the eye.
1. Give your picture a “pop” of color and/or contrast. For example, if you rented a red car on vacation, park next to a grey or white building and snap a photo.
2. Shoot from a different angle. Photos don’t always need to be straight on. Try an above or below angle to switch things up.
3. Add little memories to your photo. For example, take a photo of your ice cream cone in front of the famous ice cream shop.
4. Make people look little. Shooting from far away or at an elevated location, making people look little gives your photo big impact.
5. Golden hour photos (when the sun is just over the horizon) are always a treasure.
