Helicopters | My Sunday Snapshot #47
Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot! I remember as a kid playing with the helicopters. They are also known as whirlybirds, twisters or whirligigs. Did you ever toss these up into the air to watch them twirl down to the ground?
Have a wonderful week!

Pictures can produce so many different emotions and feelings. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words! Share your fun and interesting image from the past week.
How fun! We used to call them helicopters and also “poly noses” when we were children, as we would open them up and stick them on our noses. Good memories! That type of tree does not grow here –we have many cottonwood trees in Colorado
I am thrilled I brought the fun memory back for you!
Thank you for visiting. Take care and best wishes.
Ugh! Those things are my arch nemesis! The trees drop these seeds all over my yard and every single one germinates. I have to spend hours pulling them out. They are terrible. Some years are worse than others.
I sure bet your Maple trees are beautiful in the Fall!!
Take care and best wishes.
They look like wings? Are they seed pods?
Yes, from Maple trees.
We’ve always loved playing with the “helicopters” or, as my hubby’s family called them “whirlybirds.” Our Littles were always mesmerized. Thanks for stirring the memories, Debra!
You are so welcome, Laura!
Take care and best wishes.
Those are so very interesting. Never played with them as a kid.
Oh, it was fun to throw them up in air and watch them twirl down! You should try it sometime 🙂
I know these helicopters – we played with them when I was young.
Have a good time

Fun past times!
Take care and best wishes.
