Fish Fry | My Sunday Snapshot 18
Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 18. We had an invite to go to a fish fry. Kevin’s friend, Ed, called last week and extended the invitation. Kevin and Ed have been friends since their high school days. Ed’s large extended family celebrated several graduates, birthdays and an anniversary. Lots of family and friends, food and fish! The fish was excellent.
The gathering was held outside, quite the distance from the main house. Ed had his uncle build this luxury commodity. Much better than finding a ‘tree’. ❤
In case you were wondering about the truck; the blue barrel filled with water, had a faucet that could be turned on or off. A bar of soap is to the left of the barrel.
On the walk back to the fish fry, this was the view of the pond.
In short, I never have liked using an ‘outhouse’. I have always cringed at needing to use one. This time the experience was somewhat ‘pleasant’. Very unexpected 🙂
Have a wonderful week!
Take Care. Best wishes, Debra

That fish fry looks yummy!
It was very good!
I see some beautiful images and very beautiful places.
Thank you. I absolutely enjoy your site’s images!
Thank care and best wishes.
Your post reminded me of our childhood family cabin! We had a bathroom in the cabin but there was also a bunkhouse and an outhouse that we called “Tina”. Not sure how it got that name but it was frequently visited, especially when we had lots of company or when us kids slept in the bunkhouse. There was always a ceramin basin of fresh water on a stool in “Tina” along with a bar of homemade soap. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
You are most welcome, Laura.
Take care and best wishes.
I’m link # 5. I think you’ve proved that old fashioned outhouses are suddenly “in”

Ed, did a delicious job of frying the fish.
Take care and best wishes.
Usually I find outhouses to be an unpleasant experience, but it’s better than hiding in the bushes. #MMBC
ahahaha, chiggers or poison ivy not fun in those particular areas! 🙂

Hi, Veronica. Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate the participation!

Very nice having the outhouse. It beats the alternative.
For sure. We don’t like the alternative 🙂
Take care and best wishes.
