Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 23! Saturday night I attended the musical, The Little Mermaid, with my daughter and her family. It was such a wonderful evening. The musical was at Starlight Theatre. We decided to eat while at the Theatre. I was rather surprised the chicken tenders I ordered were actually good!
Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 22! After our July Summer Party, I drove Adam home. Seems like every year the City of Lawrence always has some sort of road construction taking place. This year it is affecting my drive time each drive thru Lawerence. Each store I shop, my parents home and where Adam is living is on the north side of Lawrence. The road under construction is 6th street (40 HWY).
Each intersection stop light must be synced the whole stretch of the street. The speed limit is 25, the drive is non stop which is nice. If the travel was stopped at each or every other intersection, the traffic would be horrible. As it is, it’s tolerable.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 21! Friday morning I needed to be at the hospital for my Prolia shot. Getting up early allowed me to go on a morning walk. Beautiful morning, a soft breeze, not hot, As I was walking I notice the sun sparkling off the grass dew. I tried getting a picture of the sparkles. My lens did not capture the prism off the wet grass. However, I was able to capture the water drops on the grass/weed leaves!
The little white flowers caught my eye. Not sure if a flower or weed. Cute what ever they are. Little tracks caught my eye as well. At first I thought when the critter whose wet paws made the tracks was instead created when the concrete was wet and the tracks are now permanent.
This morning walk was well needed. Started my day out right, refreshed, happy and not rushed.

Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 18. We had an invite to go to a fish fry. Kevin’s friend, Ed, called last week and extended the invitation. Kevin and Ed have been friends since their high school days. Ed’s large extended family celebrated several graduates, birthdays and an anniversary. Lots of family and friends, food and fish! The fish was excellent.
The gathering was held outside, quite the distance from the main house. Ed had his uncle build this luxury commodity. Much better than finding a ‘tree’. ❤
In case you were wondering about the truck; the blue barrel filled with water, had a faucet that could be turned on or off. A bar of soap is to the left of the barrel.
On the walk back to the fish fry, this was the view of the pond.
In short, I never have liked using an ‘outhouse’. I have always cringed at needing to use one. This time the experience was somewhat ‘pleasant’. Very unexpected 🙂
Have a wonderful week!

Today’s image was purely unintended. The grand girls and I were trying to get the remote shutter connected to the phone when we were taking some selfies of us this weekend. We got a few bloopers. This blooper turned out rather interesting.
Have a wonderful week.

My Sunday Snapshot was taken during my ‘Happy Birthday Party to Me’ party. This year I turned 60 and celebrating 20 years cancer free (with God’s grace)! What I find amusing, this is not my first post about toilet paper. You can see the first post about TP here.
The image above was placed onto each table as the center piece. I have included the center piece in the image below.
The main table center piece was made with many rolls of toilet paper 🙂 My folks contributed the items added to this cake from their own medicine cabinet! Mom thought it was funny when I asked her to contribute to the cake decorations.
No gifts were requested. What I did request was a selfie with each of my guests. There were many, here are some of the guests I knew wouldn’t mind me sharing.
I am so grateful and blessed to celebrate my 60 years and that my folks are with me to do so. This was definitely a milestone I will cherish forever. My family and friends made me feel very special.
Thank you for joining in on my celebration!
Have a wonderful week.
