Boom, Bang | My Sunday Snapshot #20

Hi, welcome to My Sunday Snapshot 20! My husband’s favorite holiday is Independence Day. For the past 8 years we have been driving to this one particular fireworks warehouse, PJs Fireworks in St. Joesph, MO. This year he spent more then ever before. Kevin was like a kid in a candy shop. As we rounded the end of one isle we were face to face with a new firework we have never seen. It’s the Kevin image above. Remember, my husband’s name is Kevin. We both laughed. Very fitting for him. Check out what’s in the cart below.

Of course we had to get one! Many different options to choose from. Always fun to see what he picks out.

We have a nice pond area. A small cabin with a fire pit is on one side of the pond. All the girls and kids get to set and watch as the guys are on the other side of pond lighting the fireworks.

A grand time boom, bang! I am looking forward to seeing this year’s display.

Have a wonderful week!

  1. OH wow! It was like it was meant to be! LOL. I bet he puts on a great show. They’re illegal here (so most people drive to New Hampshire and load up). I love watching our neighbors’ displays around the lake.

    1. My husband and I live outside of town. In Lawrence (Kansas), the bottle rockets are banned. There are others as well. However, in general, fireworks are still allowed. At our place Kevin will set up across the pond. The fireworks will light over the water, no house roofs around to catch fire 🙂
      Take care and best wishes.

  2. ! It’s great to hear about Kevin’s excitement for fireworks—it must make for a memorable Independence Day celebration every year. The “Kevin” firework sounds like a perfect fit for him! Enjoy your time by the pond with family and friends, and have a fantastic Fourth of July!

    1. Hi, Sharon. We thought it was a hoot we found a firework named Kevin. I am sure he will have to tell everyone about it!
Have a fun 4th, safe too.
      Take care and best wishes.

  3. Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate the Fourth! I’m not sure what it is with husbands and fireworks but mine loves them, too! There’s always a few visits to the local firewroks store before the big day! Enjoy your family time, Dabra!

    1. Hi, Laura. I think if must be the Big Bang sound and getting to light something up!
Have fun with your family as well. Stay safe!
      Take care and best wishes.
