Gma’s Photo
Debra, Grandmom, Photographer, Cancer Survivor,Senior Citizen, someone who has accepted Jesus as her savior.
Hi. My name’s Debra. I was born in Illinois, now I live in NorthEast Kansas. You may recognize me from the numerous family and senior photography sessions I have taken for the many residents of the area.
I will use this blog to share my tips and tricks for taking not just good phone pictures, but better pictures. As I am becoming older, easier is more appealing. The digital era has given me more ways to do many things easier.
Mainly picture taking! There are many online classes for taking better phone photos. Many charge fees. This is a place where you can come and see how I have learned to take better pictures with my phone.
Not only am I a photographer, I am a grandmom to two beautiful girls, 7 and 12 years old. A senior citizen who is proud of becoming a ‘senior’ as a cancer survivor. I was just 39 when diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma.
I will also share my journey through Weight Watchers. Being a cancer survivor, I will do my best to eat better and maintain a healthy weight. My current weight is not healthy. This blog will be an accountability for me.
Above all else, I am a Christian. I will not force my beliefs, but I often refer to the ‘miracles’ I have witnessed in my life. It’s hard to imagine cancer being a miracle, but I believe it was in an odd sort of way. Had it not been for the cancer, I would never have taken time away from work to be the mom who went to all her children’s school functions, wrestling, dance camp, track and so much more. I accepted a receptionist position, 8am to noon, M-F. I never missed a single sport activity. I was there! ❤
Welcome to Gma’s Photo. Enjoy!
Take care and best wishes.
Sincerely, Debra
UPDATE: As of November 4, 2024 I became a Student Delivery Specialist. Working part time, I needed to re-evaluate my expenditures. Weight Watchers at this time was a cost I needed to pause for the time being. I will still be mindful of what I eat using what I learned as a member of WW.
The images on this blog taken with the iPhone 14 Pro Max unless otherwise noted. Updated: iPhone 15 Pro Max beginning October 27, 2023.
Editing app for my iPhone pictures: PicTapGo
The Android version is currently discontinued, You can read about it here. I apologize and can recommend Adobe PhotoShop or Adobe Lightroom. I use both of these apps as well. The PicTapPro intergrates with the Project Life app and for this reason, I would recommend the PicTapPro+ for iOS devices.
The collage software used on this blog is the ProjectLife app available for iOS and Android.
